Elite One recognition in Intellectual Property and Criminal Law
SKC Law has again been recognised by Hukumonline. As an Indonesian IP law firm brands rely on for prosecution, enforcement, and litigation, the firm earned Elite One placement for both Intellectual Property and Criminal Law. The recognition comes in the Practice Leaders and Top 100 Indonesian Law Firms 2026 categories. We thank every member of the SKC Law team, and the clients whose trust made this possible.
Hukumonline announced the results on 19 June 2026 in Jakarta. This was the ninth edition of the programme, and 246 firms took part. The result follows SKC Law’s earlier Elite One placement with Hukumonline.
How the Rankings Are Assessed
Hukumonline runs two connected exercises. Practice Leaders maps firms by individual practice area. The Top 100 assesses each firm as an organisation.
Practice Leaders 2026 covered 36 practice areas. Hukumonline based the assessment on data that firms submitted directly, then validated. The criteria weigh several factors. These included the value of transactions and cases, their complexity, the profile of clients served, the number of parties involved, and the strategic contribution to the sector.

The Top 100 Indonesian Law Firms 2026 sits alongside the directory. It assesses firms across twenty categories.
Elite One Placements
The Elite One placement for Intellectual Property reflects the core of SKC Law’s work. This covers trademark prosecution, portfolio management, and contentious IP matters. The firm handles these matters for both domestic and international rights holders.
SKC Law advises across the full IP lifecycle, from filing strategy and portfolio management through to enforcement and litigation in Indonesia. In contentious work, that recently included recovering the country-code domain sennheiser.co.id for the brand owner through Indonesia’s domain dispute process, after the name sat parked for more than a decade.
The Criminal Law placement reflects where much of that enforcement work lands. Protecting a brand against counterfeiting in Indonesia often runs through the criminal route – police complaints, raids, and seizures. SKC Law handles this work through a dedicated in-house Enforcement & Intelligence Team, whose services span investigations, warning letters, criminal raids, civil infringement proceedings, and customs recordals. Under Indonesia’s new Criminal Code (KUHP), corporate criminal liability now applies to infringement, which raises the stakes for every rights holder operating in the market.
Where Criminal Enforcement Fits
Acting on intelligence provided by the rights holder, SKC Law coordinated the enforcement actions behind the seizure and destruction of more than 34,000 counterfeit SKF bearings in Jakarta – 13.3 metric tons, valued at roughly IDR 9.5 billion, and among the most significant counterfeit-bearing seizures in Indonesia in recent years.
The firm’s Enforcement & Intelligence Team has run multi-target operations at scale, including one that began as online monitoring and grew into coordinated raids seizing more than 75,000 counterfeit goods. The firms Prosecution & LItigation Team advises rights holder before any raid, confirming the portfolio is in order and the target’s rights are clearly understood.
This is the crossover the two placements describe. Independent recognition of the firm’s criminal enforcement is not new to the market. Hukumonline’s dual placement confirms, from an Indonesian market authority, what sets the firm apart: an independent, IP-specialist practice that can carry a rights holder from a trademark filing to a criminal seizure.

Beyond the practice-area directory, SKC Law was also named in the Top 100 Indonesian Law Firms 2026.
The result adds to the firm’s independent rankings. These include a Tier 1 placement for IP in the Legal 500, [list others]. For an independent, specialist firm, this consistent recognition is a source of immense pride.
